This document defines the heated tobacco products (HTP) category; defines the HTP sub-categories and the attributes of each; defines standardized terminology and definitions for the HTP. This document does not include the sub-categories of waterpipes or loose-leaf tobacco HTP; does not specify the means for aerosol trapping, subsequent sample preparation or analyses of components in the trapped aerosol.
